<program> <version>: Statistical Calculations

This dialog computes a definite integral between selected points (a,b) of a standard distribution, for provided values of mean, standard devation and population size.

Enter values for mean, standard deviation, population size, and the starting and ending points for the desired interval, then press "Result" to perform the integration. To specify intervals that begin or end at infinity, enter a large number such as 1e-30 for "a" or 1e+30 for "b".

Here is an example problem. Given an average population I.Q. of 100, a standard deviation of 15 I.Q. points and a population size of 1 million, how many people should be expected to have an I.Q. at or above 165?

Enter:

Mean : 100
Standard Deviation	: 15
Population size : 1e+6
a : 165
b : 1e+30

Press "Result" for an outcome of 7.34.
